History

Ourso Funeral Home in White Castle provides funeral and memorial services for families in Iberville Parish, Louisiana. With several locations throughout the area, we're able to accommodate families during their time of need.

70-plus years of service

The first Ourso Funeral Home was founded by Sidney Ourso Sr. in 1939 in Donaldsonville, Louisiana. In partnership with Milburn Landry, it was then known as Landry-Ourso Funeral Home. After the death of Mr. Landry, the partnership dissolved, and we changed our name to Ourso Funeral Home Inc. The existing funeral home at 134 Houmas Street in Donaldsonville was purchased in late 1940.

To better serve families, Ourso Funeral Home services later expanded and added the Gonzales location, as well as chapel locations in White Castle and Pierre Part.
