An inclusive funeral home, personalized memorials

The non-denominational Mackey Funerals and Cremations serves families of all faiths and cultures. The funeral home team has experience working with people from all backgrounds. If you desire, we can also consult with outside groups to ensure cultural and religious traditions are upheld.

Mackey Funerals and Cremations' traditional chapel holds up to 200 people seated in pews. We encourage families to personalize the chapel with photos, mementos and other items that represent their loved ones in order to make a memorial service as unique as the person being celebrated.

The funeral home’s family room accommodates receptions for 20-30 people—and we're happy to handle the catering. From a southern breakfast to a pie buffet, a simple lunch or an elaborate dinner, let us know what you'd like and we'll make it happen.

Cremation services

Not everyone knows that there are many cremation options. If you are interested in cremation, the funeral home team can explain the process and different options. Whether it's a direct cremation with a memorial service afterwards, a witness cremation or a funeral service before a cremation, we'll help you understand all the choices you have around cremation. Also, if you wish, cremated remains can be placed at Woodlawn Memorial Park.

Woodlawn Memorial Park cemetery

Comprising 80 acres, Woodlawn Memorial Park is serene and shaded by stately old oaks. A beautiful bell tower sits at the cemetery entrance.

Traditional in-ground burial options include single-depth and double-depth plots. Three mausoleums—Remembrance, Serenity and CMG—accommodate above-ground entombment and hold cremation niches for inurnment. The cemetery also has a cremation scattering garden.

Committal services at our mausoleums

Both Remembrance Mausoleum and CMG Mausoleum have space for committal services. The Remembrance Chapel seats up to 100 people in pews and includes an area for private prayer services. CMG Mausoleum also has a smaller area for intimate services that seats up to 30.

We honor veterans

At Mackey Funerals and Cremations, we understand the unique needs of America’s veterans and their families. As a Level Three Founding Community Partner with We Honor Veterans, our staff is knowledgeable in the benefits available to veterans and their families. With respect, integrity and dignity, we will walk you through the steps of creating a veteran's memorial service that truly honors the life and sacrifice of your loved one.

The funeral home also participates in the Homeless Veterans Burial Program, designed to ensure all members of the military receive a dignified memorial, regardless of their financial status. A section of Woodlawn Memorial Park is also reserved specifically for veterans. In addition, Mackey Funerals and Cremations at Woodlawn Memorial Park works with local veterans groups and The American Legion to host a yearly Memorial Day event.

Commitment to community

Mackey Funerals and Cremations at Woodlawn Memorial Park is committed to the Greenville community. We support nonprofit organizations, such as the American Diabetes Association, as well as local schools and churches. Our team members serve on various boards, and they are active in the Kiwanis Club, Rotary Club of Greenville and South Carolina Cemetery Association

We host clergy breakfasts along with a "Hope and Help for the Holidays" seminar for families and social workers. We also work with many Greenville-area widow organizations to sponsor newsletters, holiday dinners and other events.
