About
Volusia Memorial Funeral Home has served the Port Orange, Florida, community since 1995. Our team of funeral professionals takes great care in helping families create memorable memorials for their loved ones. Devoted to delivering the highest level of satisfaction possible, we are committed to every detail.
Modern funeral home and amenities
Our modern funeral home on Clyde Morris Boulevard, near downtown Port Orange, is a warm and welcoming place to plan a service. It includes an on-site chapel with flexible seating and space for catered receptions. It has the latest technology, so your music selections are crisp and your tribute video can be seen by all your guests. Need us to create a tribute video? We take care of it all.
Not only does the team at Volusia Memorial Funeral Home understand that losing a loved one is a difficult experience, we also know that every life is unique and every family is different. That's why we take time to ask questions. How did your loved one live their life? What did they love the most? What made them laugh?
We can find inspiration almost anywhere. Just start with a story. We'll take it from there.
Traditional and contemporary services
Whether you seek a simple cremation with a scattering in the Atlantic Ocean; a full traditional funeral service with a cemetery burial and a coffee-and-cake reception; or a creative outdoor event complete with a live band, favorite foods and personalized mementos, we handle every aspect of a service.
From garden party to golf theme, bagpipes to banjos, cupcakes to crab cakes, we make sure that your wishes and the wishes of your loved one are fulfilled. We are experts at creating unique and memorable tributes.
Cremation in Port Orange
There are many options for cremation in Port Orange—and they're not all equal. We specialize in cremation services that honor loved ones in personalized ways, and families love our all-inclusive pricing. With expertise in scattering ashes and a friendly team who pays attention to every detail, we provide service that is second to none.
More and more people are choosing cremation over traditional burial, but most aren’t familiar with the many options:
- a cremation without a funeral or memorial service of any kind.
- a funeral with your loved one present, followed by cremation.
- a cremation followed by a scattering, cemetery memorialization or celebration of life—or all three.
If you're interested in cemetery placement, our sister cemeteries, Volusia Memorial Park and Deltona Memorial Gardens, are among the prettiest in the area. They offer scattering, niches and other choices.
And for those who wish for something more momentous, Neptune Memorial Reef is an underwater cremation garden off the coast of Florida. A Celestis Memorial Spaceflight takes ashes into space for a little while or forever.

We welcome the families of Shannon Maloney
Shannon Maloney Funeral Home was established in 1977, after Dale Maloney and his wife, Judy, purchased the business. For many years, it was the oldest family-owned and -operated funeral home in Port Orange. In fact, Dale served Florida families for more than 50 years. In 2022, Shannon Maloney Funeral Home closed its doors, but Dale left families in our hands. We are proud to uphold his legacy of compassion and professionalism.
