Joyce Hazel Ramsay (Coulter) was born January 23, 1939 in Prairie Grove Manitoba and was called home at the age of 85 on April 25, 2024.
Joyce is predeceased by her loving husband Bruce Robert Ramsay in 2016.
She will be sadly missed by her daughters Marianne Woytowich and Kathy Niziol (Dave) along with her many grandchildren; Kristopher Woytowich, Kyla Wiebe (Mike) and Jennifer DeVries (Caleb), and her great-grandchildren; Jordan Wiebe, Zachary Pawlyshyn, Everley Rose DeVries, Ellie Joy DeVries, her brother Terry (Jo) Coulter, nephew Michael Coulter and family of Australia.
Joyce had many jobs throughout her life, but none so important as a devoted wife, mother, grandmother. "Nanny" spent countless hours playing with her grandchildren and enjoyed watching them grow up.
Joyce loved growing up in Prairie Grove, surrounded by cornfields, lilacs, wild flowers and "wheatfields as far as the eye could see". She was a avid reader, writer, story-teller and loved poetry and music.
In keeping with Joyce's wishes, cremation has taken place and no service will be held. A private gathering will take place.
Thomson "In the Park" Funeral Home is in care of the arrangements.
A poem written by Margaret Widdemer "The Watcher"
She always leaned to watch for us,
Anxious if we were late,
In winter by the window,
In summer by the gate.
And though we moched her tenderly,
Who had such foolish care,
The long way home would seem more safe
Because she waited there.
Her thoughts were all so full of us,
She never could forget!
And so I think that where she is
She must be watching yet.
Waiting till we come home to her,
Anxious if we were late,
Watching from Heaven's window,
Leaning on Heaven's gate.
Mom, we love you, we will miss you. You and dad are now together
again and you will always be our guardian angels till we meet again.
