Nadine Menacker, 86, beloved wife of Julius; loving mother of Mark (Sandra), Rebecca (Spencer) Stern, the late Terri; proud grandmother of Dakota, Gabriel, Cassandra and Kai; caring sister of Shirley George; adoring aunt of many nieces, nephews; and cherished friends.
Nadine recently moved to Evanston, but lived over 50 years in Deerfield, IL. There she served for 4 decades as the Village of Deerfield’s Village Greeter welcoming new residents. Her dedication resulted in the Village naming 11/21 “Nadine Menacker Day” in her honor. Nadine’s greatest joy was being with family and friends, who she loved dearly. She shared a very loving bond with her husband Julius for over 65 years. She was a doting grandmother, whose love knew no bounds. She loved the holiday season, and baked over 40 varieties of cookies to share with family and friends. Nadine passed away peacefully on April 30, 2024.
Although not suffering from it, contributions can be made to the Alzheimer’s Association (www.alz.org).
A memorial service is being planned for June.
