He married Dorothy, the love of his life, with whom he had three daughters. He loved the outdoors including hiking, camping, fishing, and bird watching. He enjoyed gardening, everything from mowing the lawn to growing roses, sour cherry trees, raspberries and so much more. He enjoyed his morning crossword puzzle, bridge, cribbage, and crazy rummy. The Denver Nuggets brought him much joy throughout the years. He was famous for his stirred, not shaken, martinis. Mostly, he was a kind, quiet, steady man who loved his family dearly.
