Batoul (Homayoon) Karbassioon of Agoura Hills, California passed away on May 2, 2024 at the age of 91. Batoul was born on June 20, 1932 in Isfahan, Iran. She moved to Abadan when she married Mostafa, her husband of 63 years. They moved to the United States in 1989 to live closer to their children and grandchildren.
Batoul was actively involved in The Women’s Organization of Iran and multiple charities. Batoul loved to knit, cook, and make “lavashak” for her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Nothing made her happier than spending time with family and helping those less fortunate. She loved adventure and never shied away from traveling to faraway places, meeting new people, and experiencing new cultures.
Batoul is preceded in death by her husband, her older sister, and brothers.
Batoul is survived by her children Kayvon, Zohreh and her husband Masoud, Kamran and his wife Anna, Mehran and his wife Sholeh and Matin and his wife Haleh. She is also survived by her sister Ferdows, her sister-in-law Ezzat, 9 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren as well as many nieces and nephews. She will be dearly missed for her grace, positive attitude, and kindness by all whose lives she touched.
The family would like to thank Blanca Felix for the special love and care that she provided our mother in the past three years and all the staff at the Sherwood Oaks Post-Acute for the care and compassion they provided in her final days.
A private service will be held.
