Randy Lee Bolden, age 68, of Waynesville, NC went to his Heavenly Home to be with Jesus on Tuesday, April 30, 2024. Randy was born in Waynesville, NC on February 21, 1956 to the Annie Mae Conner Bolden and the late Furman Leon Bolden.
In addition to his father, he is preceded in death by a nephew, Wayne McClure.
Randy was a faithful servant of the Lord and the Pastor of Hyatt Creek Freewill Baptist Church. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved to hunt and fish. Randy enjoyed his farm in Tignal, GA where he raised cattle and did most of his hunting. He made lots of friends that he cherished from the time spent at the farm. He was a longtime painter in Haywood County. He also loved spending time at the Thad Woods auction. Most of all he loved the Lord and spending time with his family. He always had a little nickname for those he knew best.
Left to cherish his memory is his mother, Annie Mae Bolden; loving wife of 48 years, Peggy Surrett Bolden; three sons, Cameron (Cindy) Bolden, Jeremy (Chrystal) Bolden, and Mitchell (Allyson) Bolden; sisters, Mary Lanning; Peggy Bolden, Patty Atkinson, and Maggie Bolden; brother, Ricky Bolden; nine grandchildren, Austin, Tyler, Riley, Natalie, Walker, Jayden, Macy, Sadie, and Josie; great grandchildren, Myles, Emerson, Carter and Rosalee; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral services for Randy will be held at 3 PM on Sunday, May 5, 2024 at Beth Eden Baptist Church with the Reverend Dewayne Riddle and Reverend Jody Shuford officiating. The family will receive friends prior to the service on Sunday from 1 to 3 PM at Beth Eden Baptist Church.
Committal service at Green Hill Cemetery will be officiated by Reverend Russell Wheeler.
Pallbearers will be grandsons and nephew, Gary Lanning. Honorary Pallbearers will be Charles Miller, Darrell McCarter, Robert McCarter, David Westbrook, Calvin Sims, Ronnie Bradley, Chris Stockton (on behalf of his father, Larry Stockton).
Randy's funeral services will be live streamed on the Beth Eden Baptist Church Facebook page. The address of the church for those attending is 240 Hendrix St., Waynesville, NC 28786.
