Born and raised amidst the rustic charm of Armada, Shirley embraced the simplicity and beauty of farm life. In 1975, she embarked on a new chapter of her life, settling in Warren. Shirley worked at Ford Motor Company, where her skilled hands worked diligently as a sewing machine operator until her well-deserved retirement.
Shirley was not one to let life pass her by; she reveled in adventure and shared many joyous moments with family and friends. Camping trips, traveling, and leisurely cruises were among her favorite pastimes. Yet, amidst her travels, she found her greatest joy in the company of her grandchildren and nieces, whose laughter and love filled her days with boundless happiness. An avid gardener, Shirley found solace and tranquility amidst the blooms of her garden.
In her heart, Shirley held a special place for her beloved dog, Angel, the faithful Boston Terrier who brought endless joy and companionship into her life. Now reunited in the boundless expanse of eternity, their bond remains unbroken. Shirley will forever be missed by her loving family and friends.
Shirley was the loving mother of Connie (the late Jonathan) Putnam and Shari (Christopher) Smirnes. Adored grandmother of Christopher Smirnes, Joel Putnam, and Sophia Bendzak. Cherished aunt of Michele Brown and Laurie Clausen. Dear sister of the late Gerald Priestap and the late Clarence "Chuck" (Evette) Priestap.
Arrangements entrusted to the D.S. Temrowski & Sons Funeral Home in Warren.
