68, of Tucson, passed away on April 30, 2024 at home peacefully with her three loving dogs (Jed, Cielo, and Luna). She is now living a beautiful life! Although a very private person, in her own special way Vivian was caring, loving, and giving. Visitation and Rosary will be on Friday, May 10, 2024, at Funeraria del Angel University from 5 PM – 8 PM. Graveside burial at Marana Veterans Memorial Cemetery with Military Honors will be held at a later date; June 3rd 2024 at 12 noon. Vivian was born in Tucson, AZ to Alicia, and Ray Ortiz. She served her country as a Morse Code Interpreter (Military Intelligence) in the United States Women’s Army Corps. Vivian also worked for the United States Postal Office for over thirty years. Vivian is preceded in death by her mother Alicia Gutierrez, brother Gilbert Gutierrez Jr., and nieces Angelica and Danielle. Vivian is survived by her father Gilbert G Gutierrez Sr., Brother Gerald (Veronica) Gutierrez, Sister Veronica A. Ramirez, a nephew and many nieces; Marco Gutierrez, Laura Gutierrez, Lisa Gutierrez, Christina Gutierrez, Jessica Gutierrez-Pacheco, and Lizette Gutierrez. Great-nephews/nieces include Sophia Gutierrez, Sienna Emory, Aydin Hernandez, Mila Garcia, Roman Gutierrez, Mackenzie Werner, and Emie Garcia. God Child Michelle Knutson. Vivian showed her love and care to immediate and extended family members in many ways. Her prominent display of love was when she sponsored a lifelong annual Mother’s Day celebration which extended over 40 years. The initial celebration was a humble gathering of about 20 family members with a breakfast buffet and live Mariachi music. This was the start of a legacy All day Mother’s Day celebration with live Mariachi music which was celebrated in over fifteen different locations to include Sierra Vista, and remote properties outside of Tucson. It is estimated that over 5000 family members and friends have been blessed by this celebration throughout the years brought on by Vivian’s humble love.
