Dadrien Robert Register, known as “Dade” to his family and friends, age 42, passed away tragically on Saturday, April 27, 2024, at his farmhouse in New Hope, TN. He and his wife, Yvonne, had recently bought this 40+ acre property to enjoy now as a second home and in the future when they retired. This was Dade’s dream purchase, and he enjoyed his tractor, backhoe, four-wheelers, etc. He and Yvonne also resided in Thornton, CO. Dade was employed with Microsoft for almost 20 years and enjoyed working remotely and traveling back and forth. At the time of his death, he was the happiest and most relaxed his family had ever seen him. He died doing something he loved: riding his four-wheeler out in nature on his own property.
Dade was born in Auburn, Alabama, on November 2, 1981, but soon moved with his family to Wasilla, Alaska. Dade was surrounded by sisters: two older and three younger – and he was always protective of them even while being a “pesky” and “annoying” brother. He enjoyed a close relationship with his maternal grandparents and his Alaskan aunt, uncle, and cousins. Dade grew up too fast and left home at age 16, moving to Colorado to attend a computer school. He married Regina Holtsoi, and they had three children; they were later divorced. After being a single parent for several years, Dade married Yvonne Salazar on May 15, 2014; he dearly loved her, and they were very happy together. He loved her two children as fiercely as he loved his own.
Dade was always fascinated by computers, beginning at age 3 when he would “work” on his grandfather’s Apple computer. Dade had a huge heart and was extremely caring. He loved helping his friends and family with their computers, fixing their cars, and serving in other ways. His hobbies consisted of his latest farming adventures, driving fast, traveling, computers, fixing and upgrading his cars (it relaxed him), and tinkering around with his Plex movie system, which he freely shared with his family and close friends. He was a wonderful son, brother, husband, father, friend, and employee. His caring, loving, and laid-back personality meant that he was beloved by many. We will all truly miss him, his quirky sense of humor, and the memes he posted on the family chat.
Dade is survived by his wife, Yvonne Register; his five children: daughters Kayla Register, Elyssiah Register (just graduated from college), son Corvyn Register, daughter Alexis Bratcher and husband Jack, and daughter Ashley Marquez; his mother and stepfather, Dianne and Bob Benitez; his five sisters: Tekia Hawk (Craig), Cetaya Carmichael (Shawn), Keska Register Gutierrez (Jarry), Ayla Felion (Brett), and Shadina Diehl (Dave); his wife’s family; aunts, uncles, and cousins in Alaska and elsewhere, and many nieces and nephews.
