He was a long time resident of Chalfont, PA. Carl was born on February 27, 1936 in Abington, PA, to parents, Carl L. Tomlinson Sr. and Emily ‘Marion’ Hawkins. He graduated from Upper Southampton Warminster High School in 1954. Carl went on to establish a career as a Builder (including the ACTS community, Normandy Farms, and Southampton Estates), working for Fesmire Inc. and Tomlinson Construction Inc. for over forty-five years.
Carl enjoyed hunting, fishing, watching sports and spending time with his wife Pauline. He spent time with his family at the ‘Farm’ in Bradford County, later to become ‘The Caboose’. He loved spending time in the sun at the Jersey shore and in Marco Island, FL. Carl enjoyed watching his children and grandchildren grow up.
Carl was preceded in death by his father, Carl L. Tomlinson, Sr. and his mother, Emily ‘Marion’ Hawkins.
Carl is survived by his loving wife, of 69 years, Pauline J. Tomlinson, sons Richard C. Tomlinson Sr. (wife Heather), Steven L. Tomlinson Sr. (wife Lori), and daughter Colleen M. Ierubino (husband Jim). Carl is survived by nine grandchildren; Tina, Rich Jr., Nate Sr., Sammy, Sarah, Steve Jr., Brian Sr., Stacy Marie, Paige, and fourteen great grandchildren.
A viewing/visitation is scheduled for Monday, May 6, 2024, 10 am to 12 pm, at Wm. Rowen Grant Funeral Home, Inc., 659 Street Road, Southampton, PA 18966, followed by a funeral service at 12 pm, and interment at Whitemarsh Memorial Park, 1169 Limekiln Pike, Ambler, PA 19002, immediately following the funeral.
