Vinita "Nunu" Cordeiro (nee D'Sa), a beloved mother, wife, sister, and cherished friend, passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by family on Tuesday, April 30, 2024, at the age of 68 after a courageous battle with cancer. Dear sister of Franz Paul D'Sa, and Genevieve Ribeiro (Arminio). Born on September 24, 1955, in Mumbai, India, Vinita's profound faith and enduring kindness enriched the lives of all who knew her.
Throughout her life, Vinita demonstrated a deep commitment to her Catholic faith, which she lived out through acts of love and service. She found her career at IBM both challenging and rewarding, and she built lasting friendships that mirrored her deep care for others. Vinita was also known for her exceptional culinary skills, known amongst friends and family for her delicious meals that often became the centerpiece of gatherings, creating warm memories.
At home, Vinita was an avid gardener, nurturing her plants with the same patience and dedication she devoted to her faith and family. Her garden was a space of tranquility and reflection, mirroring the peace she found in her beliefs. Vinita's sense of humour and joyful spirit brought lightness and laughter to those around her.
She leaves behind her loving husband of 38 years, Karl, and their devoted daughter, Vivienne, who was the centre of her universe.Vinita's legacy of kindness, faith, and community will continue to inspire and guide them.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated in Vinita's honour on Friday May 10, 2024 at 10:00am, at St. Martin de Porres Church in Scarborough.
