Tzila Levine, longtime resident of Sacramento, passed away on Saturday, June 17 at the age of 69 with her loving family by her side. In 1971, Acco, Israel, she married the love of her life Carl, who was from Passaic, New Jersey. Together, they had 2 sons, Avichai and Ariel. In 1979, Tzila and Carl made their way back to Passaic, and then settled in Sacramento, California in 1980, making it their permanent residence. Tzila was known for her love of cooking, caring for her pets, but especially loved seeing her 5 grandchildren; Lior, Adam, Daniel, Sophia and Tal. She also worked as an educator of Hebrew and Judaic Studies at Shalom School in Sacramento. When her health condition became too challenging, she resided at Mission Carmichael Healthcare Center, where she was treated with both dignity and kindness from their nursing staff. Tzila is survived by her loving and devoted husband, Carl; her 2 sons and their wives, Avichai (Keren Alperin) Levine and Ariel (Miri Averbuch) Levine; 5 grandchildren; and many friends who will all miss her greatly. Family and friends are invited to a Funeral Service at 10:00am on Wednesday, June 21, 2017 at Home of Peace Jewish Cemetery, 6200 Stockton Blvd in Sacramento.
