In her earlier years, Carolyn devoted herself to a life of service and spirituality as a nun. Guided by her deep faith and compassionate heart, she touched the lives of many through her selfless dedication. Transitioning from her vocation as a nun, Carolyn embarked on a new journey as an educator and counselor. Armed with her innate empathy and boundless wisdom, she pursued a career dedicated to guiding and supporting others. Her tireless efforts as a teacher and drug/alcohol counselor left an indelible mark on the lives of countless individuals, offering hope, healing, and renewal to those in need. Carolyn's pursuit of knowledge and her commitment to helping others led her to earn a Master's Degree from Duquesne University, a testament to her lifelong dedication to learning and growth. Carolyn was not only intelligent, compassionate and deeply devoted to God and her family, she was also musically talented and a gifted artist. She shared her talents by singing in both the church choir and the Sweet Adelines, and by sharing her art with her loved ones. So with her effect on the world around her, it can be easily said that Carolyn leaves this world much better and more beautiful than she found it.
In love and companionship, Carolyn shared 29 beautiful years with her late husband Robert Gabos, creating a lifetime of cherished memories together. Left to carry on Carolyn's legacy of love and compassion are her devoted daughter, Michelle Bolt, and her two adoring grandsons, Ewan and Nolan Bolt.
