Mr. Brett Thomas Mitchell

Mr. Brett Thomas Mitchell , age 51, of Richmond, VA passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, April 23, 2024. He was preceded in death by his beloved mother Cheryl Mitchell. He is survived by his adored daughters Campbell and Chelsea Mitchell; father, Terry Mitchell; sister, Scottye Heilman (Bryan); nephew, Gray Heilman; niece, Liza Heilman, as well as many dear aunts, uncles, and cousins. He will be terribly missed by his loving partner Mary Mabe, her daughter Morgan, and their cherished pets Tommy and Brooklyn. Brett graduated from JR Tucker High School in 1990 where he was a proud member of the baseball team and made many lifelong friends. He worked for the Nestle Company for over 22 years as a regional sales rep. Brett was an avid sports enthusiast, especially for his favorite team, the University of Virginia Wahoos. He was also known for his encyclopedia-like knowledge of many subjects, especially sports. Friends and family will remember Brett for his dry humor and intelligent wit, as well as his kind heart and bright smile. A memorial service to honor Brett will be held on Friday, May 10th at 12 p.m. at Woody's Funeral Home, 1771 North Parham Rd., Richmond, VA 23229. In lieu of flowers, donations can be sent to the Henrico Humane Society.
