Charlotte Ann Elleman of Raleigh, NC, passed away on April 29, 2024. Ann was born on June 9th, 1930, the only child of Rox Warren Moyers and Ruth Whitehouse Moyers, and grew up in Brookside Ohio. She received her Batchelor of Arts Degree from Denison University and her Master of Arts in Speech-Language Pathology from The Ohio State University,
Ann married the love of her life, Thomas S. Elleman, in 1954 and became the Speech Pathologist in Boone County and Ames Iowa for three years. She then became a full-time homemaker, rearing three children.
She entered North Carolina State University in 1980 for further study and worked part time in the Department of Communication. After securing her National Certification and State License, she became the head of the Speech, Hearing and Language Clinic until her retirement in 1993.
Ann pursued various interests after retirement: traveling, compiling histories for three sets of ancestors, and serving as an officer of the Association of Retired Faculty of North Carolina State University.
Ann was a loving wife and mother and is survived by her three children, all of whom would be wonderful friends, even if they weren’t related to her: Rebecca Hodge of Raleigh, Bruce A. Elleman of Portsmouth, Rhode Island, and Debra Mlsna of Starkville, Mississippi, their three spouses, eight grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.
Heartfelt thanks are extended to her caregivers of many years and to the staff of Magnolia Glen Senior Community.
