She was born on April 13, 1946 in Coleman, Texas to James Weldon Hamilton and Imogene Nixon Hamilton. She was a 1966 graduate of San Angelo High School. She married the love of her life Roy Lee Dixon on May 28, 1966 in San Angelo, Texas.
Elaine was a devoted wife and mother who dedicated her life to being a wonderful mom to her son, Michael Lee Dixon.
She treasured her family and embraced every moment with them. She cherished time with her three granddaughters nicknaming them “Tweetie Bird” (Alyssa), “Pumpkin” (Bianca) and “Onion” (Caitlin). They fondly remember her pinching her hands together and tickling them, infamously calling herself Grandma Crab who was coming to get them! She’ll be remembered by her warm smile and sweet chuckle. Truly nothing gave her more joy than being with her family.
She had the biggest heart and always made people around her feel special and loved. While she was the kindest person she also had a jokester inside of her. Even in her old age, she would surprise the family with a quick biting comment that never failed to make everyone laugh. If you ever told her something like “be careful” about anything she was doing she would reply in the most sassy way “YES, MOM”! If you ever tried to test her or tease her be careful because you might get a “POW WOW on your butt” even though she never did it.
Everyone who knew Elaine, knows how much she loved her cats, coloring, most of all her back rubs and I can still hear her saying “right THERE!!” “PURRFECT”👌🏻and boy did she love her Dr. Pepper, but only at room temperature.
She is survived by her son Michael Dixon, Granddaughters Alyssa Dixon, Bianca Dixon, Caitlin Brown and husband Jordan, great- granddaughter Kiah Brown, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Elaine is proceeded in death by her husband Roy Lee Dixon, her parents Weldon and Imogene Hamilton, her brother Jim Hamilton and Mother-In-Law Pauline Brothers.
As Elaine would say, “May God go with you, Always”
