Shirley was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend. She enjoyed spending time with her family especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. When Shirley wasn't taking care of her family, she enjoyed listening to music, dancing, playing Bingo, fishing and cooking. Her favorite dish to make was fresh homemade bread.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory her six children, Adam Alleman Jr. (Pam), Brenda Alleman, Bonnie Alleman Kaiser (Keith), Connie Alleman, Jessie Alleman (Kathy), and Alice Alleman; twelve grandchildren, Darrick Daigle, Bridget Landry (Thomas Jr.), Jason Alleman (Lauren), Myles Kaiser (Elizabeth), Brittany "Bree" Cavalier (Emily), Jessie Alleman Jr. (Samantha), Amber Smith (Phillip), Dylan Metrejean, Angelle Lambert (Grant), Anthony Alleman (Kynley), Brennan Metrejean, and Landon Metrejean; fourteen great grandchildren and four siblings, Villary Gros, Linda Daigle, Patsy Blancaneaux, and Lorraine Powell.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Adam Alleman Sr.; her parents, Aurleain and Bernice Chassion Gros Waguespack and eleven siblings, Daniel Gros, Junius Gros, Wilbert Gros, Lindberg Gros, Lori Gros, Rita Gros, Doris Bergeron, Anna Mae Hymel, Evelyn Hernandez, Gertrude Scully, and Annabelle Miller.
The family would like to thank the entire staff at Chateau Napoleon for their care and support.
A visitation will be held at Ourso Funeral Home in Pierre Part, LA on Monday, May 6, 2024 from 9am until Mass of Christian Burial at St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church at 12pm. Burial to follow in the church cemetery.
