Irene was born September 13 ,1931 in Sioux Center, Iowa. She is survived by a brother Andy Van Bochove, his wife Dorothy and their son Allan.
At the age of twenty she moved to Phoenix, Arizona due to health reasons. She thrived in the warm climate and began a successful career in real estate. Irene became closer and closer to the Lord during that period and her priority in life became serving Him. Irene also had a great partner in that service when she met the love of her life, Dale Blumhagen, and they married July 12,1963. Dale past away in 1971 from heart failure. Irene looked so forward to being with Dale in glory!
There are many Bible Studies that Irene taught consistently over the years. She spread the gospel wherever she went. She also worked with Alongside Ministries, Nursing homes song fests Bible study and zoom classes. Irene taught her last classes diligently doing last Bible study the Wednesday before her passing. North Phoenix Baptist became her home church where she taught several classes, whenever and who ever wanted to hear God’s Word.
I believe that whenever Irene entered the pearly gate, God said, "Well Done My Good and Faithful Servant.”
