1950 - 2024
Debra Lorretta Waldrep Thornbrue, September 13, 1950, to April 30, 2024, was born to Adolphus Franklin (Frank) and Beulah Nathylee Keenon Waldrep in El Campo, Texas. She passed away at The Springs Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center in Cedar Park, Texas, where she had lived for the past year and a half. Debra had suffered from many health issues for many years but received excellent care at The Springs. She was happy there.
Preceding her in death were her son, William (Billy) Patrick Fee, Jr.; her parents; her brother, Arthur (Art) Franklin Waldrep; and her husband, Marvin Lee (Jack) Thornbrue.
Surviving her are her daughter, Courtney Jaqueline Quiroz and granddaughter, Zaleigh May Quiroz of Oregon; sister, Charlotte Wright (husband, James) of Texas; sister, Jacquelan (Jackie) Berry (husband, Roy) of Georgia; brother, James (Jimmy) Waldrep of Georgia; sister, Nathylee (Jill) Peck (husband, Bob) of Arizona; and numerous nieces and nephews scattered throughout Texas, Georgia, Florida and Arizona.
Debra had various careers throughout her life, including OTR (18 wheeler) trucker where she met her husband Jack. She worked in the healthcare industry in several capacities, as a secretary at a university, and as a heavy equipment operator.
Debra had several hobbies, including cooking, crocheting, caring for others, fishing and camping.
Cook-Walden Funeral Home of Pflugerville, Texas, is handling the arrangements. The family will have a graveside ceremony at Fort Sam Houston Cemetery in San Antonio, Texas, where she will be buried with her husband at a time yet to be determined.
