Stephen Dunefsky was a man who commanded the room as he entered. Charismatic and confident he was well loved by friends and family his entire life. He was born in Brooklyn, New York and grew up in Hicksville, Long Island. He met the love of his life, Marilyn (Micki) at Malibu Beach Club on Long Island in summer of 1961. Steve and Micki married in November of 1962 and had 4 children that they raised in Huntington, Long Island. Stephen began his career in the coffee industry at Martinson’s Coffee and Savarin Coffee (S.A. Schonbrunn) as a top salesman. In 1984 he was inspired to start his own business and co-founded Empire Coffee Company. Golf was a passion of his and Steve and Micki have resided at Ibis in West Palm Beach for over 25 years and have loved the community and life here. He was a loving grandfather (Poppa) to his 8 grandchildren and made many memories with them throughout the years. He also cherished his furbaby Siena.
Steve is survived by his beloved wife, Marilyn (Micki) Dunefsky. Brothers Harvey (Marilyn) Dunefsky, Alan (Francoise) Dunefsky. He is also survived by his 4 children and 8 grandchildren: Daughter Peri (Keith) Goldberg, children Nacia, Matthew and Jonathon. Daughter Audra (Todd) Good, children Jordan, Jessie and Eli. Daughter Michele Wood, children Madison and Joshua. Son Adam (Lisa) Dunefsky.
Services will be held on Wednesday, May 1 at 2:30 PM at I.J. Morris at Star of David Funeral Home at 9321 Memorial Park Rd, Palm Beach Gardens followed by a private reception for close friends and family at Ibis Country Club. Shiva will be observed at the family home on Thursday, May 2 from 1-3pm and 6-8pm and Friday, May 3 from 1-3pm.
