Sandra Byrum Kelso, 79, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, April 28, 2024 at Methodist Hospice House in Memphis, TN. She was born on November 7, 1944 to the late James Floyd and Annette Byrum in Coldwater, MS.
For three decades, Sandra dedicated her passion and expertise to Byrum's Monogramming, where she showcased her skills as a professional seamstress, cherishing every moment. Her affection for birds knew no bounds, whether it was the graceful hummingbirds, the humble chickens, or any avian friend she encountered. In her spare time, Sandra found solace in collecting baskets and nurturing her garden, finding joy in the simple yet fulfilling act of tending to it day after day. Sandra embraced her roles as a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, treasuring every moment with her family.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Joseph “Bill” William Kelso, Jr.; Her parents, James Floyd and Annette Byrum, and two brothers, John Byrum and JF Byrum.
Sandra leaves behind two sons, Chuck Kelso (Jeanette Kelso), Joey Kelso (Wendy) and three grandchildren, Collin Kelso, Logan Kelso, and Hannah Kelso. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, May 1, 2024 at 10:30 am with visitation beginning at 10:00 am at Autumn Woods Cemetery Pavilion, 6240 Davidson Rd. Olive Branch, MS 38654. In light of ongoing chemotherapy treatment, the family humbly asks that if you are feeling unwell, you kindly extend your thoughts and prayers from a distance, ensuring the safety and well-being of all.
