Leclerc Chery was born December 22nd , 1940, in Haiti St. Louis Du-Nord to mother Lamercie and Father Murat Chery. He was the 2nd eldest of seven children.
Leclerc worked many years as a self-employed taxi driver to provide for his two daughters, and late wife. In 1964 Leclerc left Haiti and migrated to Freeport Bahamas in search of a better life where he later met his wife Lavanette Chery, whom he later shared two daughters with: Juliette Chery and Nadege Chery.
He spent most of his life living in the Bahamas. On February 18, 2017, he traveled to the U.S.A. to visit-family where he and his children decided that it was best for him to relocate to Miami due to a decline in his health condition.
Leclerc spent the last seven years of his life here in the care of his daughters as he received treatment for his failing health. On February 2nd, 2024, he was admitted to the rehabilitation facility after hip surgery from a fall, where he spent his last days. On April 28, 2024 He was called home to be with the Lord. Leclerc is now an angel watching over us. He dedicated his life to his family and friends, which he took pride in helping. He was passionate about communing with his loved ones. Leclerc had a heart of gold that continued to shine on all who knew and met him.
He will be incredibly missed by his family and friends. His memory will reside in our hearts forever and his spirit will remain with us until we meet again. Leclerc left behind.
