and hearts on the 25th of October 1929 and in those early years the family lived and
grew in Clinton, Oklahoma. In the following years, Billy, Geneve, Ilene and Harold filled
out the team but over the years, they each in their turn, have passed through the gates.
The family moved to California when Evelyn was nine and settled in Olivehurst where
she met the boy who would become a man and grow to be a pastor/evangelist, and to
whom she would spend the next seventy-six years of her life. His name was Doyle and
he would precede her into heaven by a slim two years. Their marriage produced three
children: Ronald Edward Gadberry, Jimmy Doyle Gadberry and Donna Marlin Gadberry
Smith.
They were gifted with three wonderful additions when Jody Tackett, Debbie McClure
and David Smith married into the family. Over the years grandchildren were added. To
Ron and Jody were born, LaRhonda who married Kendal Hall, David who married
Janae Tomlinson and Misty who married David Akridge. To Jim and Debbie were born,
Scarlett who married James Millsaps; and Amy who married Jon Dale. To Donna and
David were born, Donita who married Chris Bowlin, DaVon who married Clint Haydon
and Denae’ who married Eric Koehn. The line was extended when the grands and
greats and great-greats were born: Hunter and Brooke Hall, Emily and Carson Spiva,
Abby Grayce Hall; Taylor and Conner Mason, Sydney Gadberry; Destinee and Dalton
Chapman, Christian David Akridge, Elizabeth Grace Akridge; Wyatt Zane Millsaps,
Jude Ryker Millsaps; Anna Rose Dale, Elijah Levi Dale, Shae Cosette Dale, Aspen Joy
Dale; Faith Anne Bowlin, Isaiah Darnell Haydon, Micah Alexzander Haydon, Nora
LeAnn Haydon, Elijah Benjamin Haydon, Judah David Haydon; Eli Harley Koehn, Noah

Evelyn and Doyle are survived by all of their family, they being the first to leave.
However, their faithfulness and influence have produced: ten preachers, three
missionaries, four school teachers, two pilots, many musicians, singers, writers, poets,
artists and others. God has been so good to us all.
Evelyn was ninety-four.
