Katie Phillips, 90, of Montgomery, Alabama, passed away Wednesday, May 1, 2024. Katie was a lifelong resident of Montgomery, Alabama and retired in 1992 from the Montgomery County Family Court. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, and aunt.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Steve and Mattie Hawkins; her loving sisters, Sue, Dickie, Beannie, and Biddie; and her eldest son, Johnnie T. Phillips, Jr.
She is survived by her children, Stephen F. Phillips and Amanda Phillips Roy (Joe); her grandchildren, Shannon Nobel (Jon), Johnnie M. Phillips, Kathleen DeHart (Hank), Forrest Phillips (Amberle), Paul Roy, and Richard Roy; and her great-grandchildren, Shelby Nobel, Jon Wesley Nobel, Elizabeth Nobel, Emeline DeHart, Hawkins DeHart, and Eleanor DeHart; and a treasured daughter-in-law, Diane Phillips.
A friends and family visitation for Katie will be held Thursday, May 9, 2024 at 10:00 AM at White Chapel-Greenwood Funeral Home, 909 Lincoln Road, Montgomery, Alabama 36109, followed by a celebration of life chapel service at 11:00 AM. Services will conclude with a burial in Greenwood Cemetery. Her son-in-law, Deacon Joe Roy will be officiating.
