Gloria Wiley, age 93, passed away peacefully on May 2, 2024 after a brief illness.
She was born to the late Howard and Mary Frances Monfee of Montgomery, AL.
Predeceased in death by her husband of 38 years, Jerry Wiley, brothers, Winfred Monfee and John Monfee, sister, Sarah Robinson, and two daughters, Susan Rowe Scott and Gail Rowe Wright Rodriguez.
She is survived by her son, Robert Allen Rowe (Martha), daughters Nancy Rowe Hall (Terry) and Debbie Rowe Via (Earnie) as well as 10 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren and 7 great-great grandchildren.
Up until her illness, Gloria maintained her kindness, compassion, love of family and friends and expressed gratitude for her long life, full of wonderful experiences. She loved gardening with beautiful flowers and tomatoes. She loved cooking and her favorite food was hot dogs, spaghetti and Allen’s fried fish. She loved to relax and watch the birds and the clouds. Gloria’s life can best be encapsulated by family, friends and flowers. In her 93 years here with us she experienced an abundance of each.
Gloria spent her early years employed in the Cotton Mill in Boylston, AL later relocating to Panama City, FL working with Sears Roebuck until she retired.
Gloria was a member of Mountainview Baptist Church 1025 Rifle Range Rd, Wetumpka, AL. 36093, where a Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, May 18th at 2:00 PM.
