Marcia was blessed to have an additional Baker family that she loved and cared deeply for in Bob and Sue Baker of Monroe, Ct. and their two beautiful children, Bobby Baker and his wife Caroline, and Sherri Mondo and her husband, Josh. She was also so fortunate to have life-long friends for the past 70 years in Florence Pickering Stolba and Linda Wilson Zarach.
Marcia spent her life caring for others. She was a housewife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. Her white, fluffy hair earned her the nickname Marcia-mellow, which also summed up her personality, soft and airy, sweet and sociable. Marcia loved gardening and caring for birds. She loved coloring books and would spend hours a day deciding color schemes and sharpening colored pencils down to the nubs. Marcia loved her 11 years that she spent in The Villages in Ocala, Florida. She loved to decorate the inside and outside of her Florida sunshine home, making good friends, and attending frequent block parties. She was a member of the Red Hat Society and participated in many charitable events. She eventually came back home to Connecticut, where she lived with her loving daughter for the remainder of her life in the Hills of Monroe. Our family will deeply miss her and forever be grateful for the wonderful life we shared.
