Donald S. Kostelecky, 84, passed away peacefully on April 29, 2024 at his vacation home in Mesa Arizona. He lost the battle with cancer affiliated complications. He was born on September 16, 1939, to Stephen Kostelecky and his wife Agnes Urbanec in Bismark, North Dakota. His adolescent years were spent on a rural farm near the town of New Hradec where he attended secondary schooling. He obtained a degree from Dickinson State College with a Bachelor of College Studies and a minor in teaching. Early in his life, he was drafted during the later stage of the Vietnam War, where he served as an Army Air Defense Soldier. The majority of his working years were dedicated to the telecommunication career field as a skilled technician and system services for Western Electric, Northwestern Bell Telephone and the Telecommunication Systems Planning office for the State of Montana. Outside of work, Donald had a passion for outdoor interests to include camping, hunting, fishing and golfing. He will be remembered for his kind heart, generous and calming spirit. Don had a knack for making those around him feel at ease. He touched the lives of many and will be deeply missed by all who knew him. Don was a devoted husband, loving father, and cherished friend. He married the late Donna M. Stroh, is survived by beloved his children Todd, Terry, Camille and Kimberly; his grandchildren Cade, Seth, Chloe and Grace; his great grandchild Jedadiah; his endeared companion Maria Zamora and a large extended family. A memorial service will be held on Saturday 4 May from 1-3pm at Cavalry Chapel Saving Grace Mesa, AZ for his family and friends. Another memorial service will be held at a later, date in Bozeman, MT.
