She was born in Memphis on January 3, 1931 to the late Martel and Louis M. Hall, Sr. She was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years Mark B. Follis and brother Louis M. Hall.
She leaves behind her son Mark (Ellen) Follis of Memphis; daughters Martel (Mike) Crone of Pawley's Island, South Carolina and Helen (Allan) Ferguson of Whiteville, Tennessee; seven grandchildren: Jeff Crone, Colleen Turovsky (Gary), Caylen Follis, Thompson Ferguson (Katie), Mark E. Follis, Laura Hendricks (Taylor), and John Ferguson and two great-grandchildren: Isaac and Lilly Turovsky.
Ann attended Little Flower Elementary School and graduated from St. Agnes Academy. She continued her education in Texas.
In addition to being a loving wife, mother, and grandmother, she was an active volunteer and past president of Circle Arts (Madonna Circle). She was an excellent cook, talented seamstress, and avid amateur gardener. She traveled the world with her late husband Mark and enjoyed many trips to the beach with lifelong friends from her early youth.
Ann is and will be greatly missed.
At her request, there will be a private graveside service later this year. Any memorials may be sent to the Memphis Humane Society.
