Born on April 5, 1944 in Martinsburg, she was the daughter of the late William Stein and Minnie Mae Greenfield Stein.
Patty lived a life marked by kindness, humor, and helping others.
Patty worked for Berkeley County Schools as a cook and cafeteria manager for 26 years before retiring on July 23, 2015. The schools she worked in were Pikeside (1989), Tomahawk Elementary (1990) Tuscarora Elementary (1995), Potomack Intermediate School (1998), and Spring Mills High School (2013)
She enjoyed shopping, sewing, crafting, and spoiling her grandchildren.
As a devout woman of faith, Patty was part of the Pentecostal Church and spent much of her time reading her Bible.
Patty is survived by her husband of 64 years, Jerry Rogers, Sr.; six children: Jerry Rogers, Jr., Tammy Brown, Robin Easterday, George Rogers, Tina Butler, and Curtis Rogers, Sr.; fourteen grandchildren; twenty great-grandchildren; and five great-great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Patty was preceded in death by her sister, Carolyn “Darlene” Rogers; niece, Alesia Williams; and two grandchildren.
Please join the family in celebrating her life. Visitors will be received at Rosedale Funeral Home on Thursday, May 2, 2024 from 6-8pm. Funeral services will be at 11am on Friday, May 3, 2024 at the funeral home. She will be laid to rest in Rosedale Cemetery.
