Henry Adolphus Bollers was born in the colony of Essequibo, Guyana, South America on December 17th 1924. He was 8 of 12 children born to Henry Bollers and Rebecca Bollers he was married to Doris Bollers. Henry and Doris meet in Harlem, New York. The fell in love and were married for 62 years.
Henry loved to cook and enjoy seeing people eating his cooking. He mostly liked barbequing and his backyard parties were some of the best events in Hackensack, New Jersey history. Henry also liked swimming in the ocean and bowling was favorite things to do. He was on two different leagues in New Jersey and Florida. Henry Loved Baseball he used to charter bus rides to the New York Yankees and the New York Mets Ball Parks for the community to enjoy the game as much as he did. Henry also spent a lot of years coaching little league baseball for 10 years.
Henry joined the Masonic Lodge and did a lot of great work for the community. He was also a Shriner out of Newark, New Jersey. In 1955 he moved from Guyana to Trinidad were he served on the Police Force for 4 years and then relocated to New York.
Henry was employed Plant Manager for Superior Tape Manufacturing Company which moved from New York to South Hackensack, New Jersey. Henry bought his first Home in Hackensack. Henry retired from his job of excellent service for 25 years.
Henry & Doris then relocated to retirement in West Palm Florida in 1986. Henry decided to come out of retirement and worked for Publix Supermarket until he stepped away from his part time job in 1996. Henry transitioned from this life on Thursday, April 25 at 8:20 pm. In his sleep.
Henry will be remembered for his storytelling, his uncanny ability to make people laugh, his tridiagonal West Indian dishes, the way helped his Friends and Family in there time of need.
Henry leaves to cherish his memories his Wife Doris, Daughter Bernadette, Sons Bobby, and Rodney. His Grandchildren Chrisean, Dwayne, Eric, Talib (Corey), Anijia, Jasmine, Emmanuel, Amber ;His nieces and nephews Barbara, Helena, Dennis, Sean, Donna, Sherry, Roxanna, Irva, Sharon, Carol, Patricia, Marie, Rene, Debbie, Robert, Allison, Felicia; Great-grandchildren, Muhammed, Serenity, Jayden, Royal, Princeton,Yaqub, Ibrahim, Sanari, Nurah, Siddiq, Nathan and Nicholas and many others and a host of extended family and friends. He was preceded in death by two sons Gary and Brevard.
We the Family, wish to express our heartfelt thank you and appreciation for the many ways your love , sympathies and respect have been extended to our Family. Our Family would like to Thank each and everyone for your prayers, phone calls, text, sent flowers, cooked food, and those who came from great distance to be here for us we thank you so very much. A visitation for Henry will be held Friday, May 3, 2024 from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm at Dorsey - E. Earl Smith Memory Gardens, 3041 Kirk Road, Lake Worth, FL 33461. A funeral service will occur at 2:00pm at the funeral home. Committal services will follow at Lake Worth Memory Gardens.
