June was the fifth child and third daughter of George Clay and Rosa Marie Long. The Long Family were faithful, active members of the Southern Baptist Church.
June met Tom Redenbaugh in 1950. June graduated from high school in 1952 and married Tom on June 8, 1952. In 1956, they bought a house in Raytown, Missouri which they owned until 2018. They raised three children, Ruth Marie, Kevin Eugene, and Elaine Renee.
In addition to managing the household budget, June managed the finances as President of Metro Plastering, Inc. She also enjoyed time with family and friends as well as hobbies, including sewing, square dancing, bowling, board games, and travel. She will always be remembered for her awesome cookies!
June is preceded in death by her husband, Tom and all five of her siblings, Raymond Coy, Homer, Wilma Ruth, Peggy, and Bonnie. She is survived by her three children, Ruth, Kevin (Lenora), and Elaine; eight grandchildren, Matthew (Kate), Megan (Jake), Nick, Aaron (Julie), Colleen (Jon), Amber (Donnie), James (Christina), and Jacob; and 15 great grandchildren.
A catered visitation for Mary will be held Thursday, May 9, 2024 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM. A funeral service will occur Thursday, May 9, 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Floral Hills Funeral Home and Cemetery, 7000 BLUE RIDGE BLVD, KANSAS CITY, MO 64133. A graveside service will occur Thursday, May 9, 2024 from 11:15 AM to 11:45 AM at Floral Hills Funeral Home and Cemetery, 7000 BLUE RIDGE BLVD, KANSAS CITY, MO 64133.
