Lois was born on November 13, 1928 in Kansas City, Missouri and grew up in Independence, Missouri.
She graduated from North East High School in Kansas City, Missouri and attended secretarial school afterwards.
Lois worked as a school secretary and later as a receptionist and assistant at a dermatologist office.
She and her husband Wayne were actively involved in square dancing, church, and attending family activities. She loved spending time with grandchildren and loved to sing.
Lois was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years Wayne Ebberts, her parents, Walter James Menter and Helen Gee Menter, and her twin sister Louise Gibson.
She is survived by her three children; Nancy Gibbens of Tonganoxie, Kansas, James Ebberts of Lee’s Summit, Missouri; and Don Ebberts of Kansas City, Missouri. She has 10 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
The family would like to thank the caregivers at Good Samaritan, of Olathe and Good Shepherd Hospice for the care and compassion they showed our mom in her final days. Memorial contributions may be made to either of these organizations.
A Visitation for Lois will be held Friday, May 10, 2024 from 10:00 to 11:00 am at Mt. Moriah, Newcomer & Freeman Funeral Home, 10507 Holmes Road, Kansas City, MO 64131, followed by a Funeral Service at 11:00 am. Burial at Mount Moriah Cemetery South.
