Juanita Mae Taylor

A visitation is scheduled from 10:00 – 11:00 AM Friday, May 3, with funeral at 11:00 AM Friday, at the McGilley Antioch Chapel. Burial will follow in White Chapel Cemetery. In lieu of flowers contributions are suggested to St. Jude Children's Hospital or Avondale United Methodist Church.

Juanita was born July 21, 1933 to Clyde William and Bessie Augusta (Giddens) Simonin in Platte City, MO. Juanita was a waitress for The Gold Buffet for 14 years during the 1970s. Later she worked as a manager for a ladies clothing store during the 1980s. At the same time, she was a devoted wife and mother. Juanita was a member of the Avondale United Methodist Church. She enjoyed garage sales and was a collector of all collections. Juanita loved everything green.

In addition to her parents, Juanita was preceded in death by her husband, John Taylor; her daughter, Diana Hobbs; and grandson, John Brill.

Survivors include her daughter, Linda (Bob) Brill of Avondale, MO; granddaughters, Kimberly Hobbs of Overland Park, KS, Stefanie Hobbs, Warrensburg, MO, and Jenna (Brad) Kirk; and great-grandchildren, Avery and Brooks Kirk, all of Liberty Hill, TX; many nephews and nieces; her long-time friend, Joe Bradshaw and his family; and numerous good friends.
