Jeannine later worked for Skelly Oil Company and the Russell Stover Company, both in Kansas City, Missouri.
Jeannine met her husband Fred on a blind date through a mutual friend. They were married on May 5, 1956. Jeannine was instrumental in influencing and supporting Fred in his entrepreneurial effort to start and operate his own company, the Fred Wolf Painting & Decorating Company. She used her professional skills and adeptly handled all things administrative relative to operating a small business including payroll, accounts receivable/payable, purchasing, etc. The company flourished for four decades before Fred’s & Jeannine’s retirement.
Jeannine’s and Fred’s favorite escape was their beautiful waterfront home at Lake of the Ozarks in central Missouri. Jeannine loved seeing all her children and grandchildren spend time at the lake house and enjoy fishing, boating, swimming, water skiing, and other water sport activities. Jeannine’s and Fred’s other favorite escape was their annual wintertime vacation to Sanibel Island, Florida. This was a recurring destination during their retirement years. Jeannine took great pride in their collection of unique and rare Florida seashells that adorned their homes.
One of Jeannine’s passions was tennis. It was her Uncle Rafael who introduced Jeannine to the game of tennis while she lived and worked in Santa Monica, California. Jeannine was a member of the Kansas City Racquet Club and played in many local area tournaments in singles and doubles competitions. Her collection of tennis trophies equaled in number to her collection of seashells.
