Teddy Matthew Hyatt, age 41, of Unicoi, Tennessee passed away on Saturday, May 4, 2024 at the Johnson City Medical Center. He was born in Johnson City, Tennessee, a son of Teddy Darnell Hyatt and Ruthie Louise Hyatt. He was preceded in death by one brother, John Robert Hyatt; his paternal grandparents, Edward and Margie Hyatt; his maternal grandmother, Lorie Walker; and special bonus maternal grandmother, Nancy Louise Garland.
Known by Matthew to his family and Teddy to his friends, he attended Unicoi County High School and Heritage Baptist Church. He loved fishing and was a comedian known for making everyone laugh. He will be remembered for his kind heart.
In addition to his parents, Matthew is survived by three sisters, Jackie Butler, Jenifer Tipton, and Heather Sneyd and husband Harley Thomas; special bonus grandfather, Thomas Jefferson Garland; nieces and nephews, Robert Gillis, Cassidy Murray, David Tipton, Hayden Hensley, Rosco Tipton, Jesse Murray, and Hayden Thomas; great niece, Ivory Gillis; special friends, Tori Tolley and River Gill; several aunts and uncles; and numerous other friends.
There will be no formal services held.
