After a three-year fight with cancer, Sydney Timmons Stephens was called home to Our Lord on Monday April 29, 2024. She is survived by her husband, Michael Stephens, children Brayden and Mikey, parents, Keith and Becky Timmons, brothers Ryan, Matthew, and Damian, and Grandparents Jack and Kathy Ensch.
Sydney loved adventure and any opportunity to be outdoors. She loved the beach and fishing. She was a competitive gymnast from age 6 to 16. She loved to draw and sketch and even wrote poetry. She was a free spirit. Sydney was an extremely caring and giving person. She worked as a caregiver for several years until her diagnosis. She always put other people’s needs before her own. Sydney lived her life as Jesus commanded in John 13:34 "...as I have loved you, so you also should love one another." She was overjoyed to be a mother. This was what she had always wanted. Sydney loved life and made the most of what she was given.
Sydney was preceded in death by her Grandparents, James and Clarine Timmons and her cousin Melissa Hancock. She will be greatly missed, and heaven has gained a most unique angel. Thank you to all the doctors, nurses, and CNAs who treated Sydney during her journey. You all made a difference.
