A lifelong Jacksonville resident, Jeanette was a graduate of Andrew Jackson High School,
earned a Bachelors degree in Nursing (RN) and began a 30 year career with
University Hospital, now known as UF Health.
She grew up with a passion for nature, and spent many years with her beloved dogs at
her home in north Jacksonville, often hosting family for a fish fry, reminiscing about loved ones and the good ol’ days. Jeanette loved being around people and was always excited to travel and attend family “reunions”, where she was always a favorite.
Predeceased by former husband Upton “Dyal” Bowman, son Markham D. Bowman (Mark),
brother John Blanc, Sr. Her parents were Josef I. Blanc and Mary J. Blanc (Canant).
Survived by her brother, Joseph H. Blanc, son Mitchell D. Bowman, Sr. and wife Sherrie Bowman, grandchildren Mitchell Bowman, Jr. and wife Mandy Bowman, Malia Bowman and great grandchildren Karley Bowman and Kinley Bowman. Special thanks to Malia Bowman for adopting Jeanette’s Miniature Schnauzer, aka “Girly Girl”.
A graveside service for Jeanette will be held Saturday, May 4, 2024 from 2:00 PM to 2:30 PM at Hardage-Giddens Chapel Hills Funeral Home, 850 St Johns Bluff Road North, Jacksonville, FL 32225.
