Alice R. Felan was called back to Heavenly Father and the loved ones that preceded her in the early morning hours of Wednesday, May 1st, 2024, surrounded by her loving sons, sister, granddaughter, niece, and friends.
Alice, or Alicia, as she liked to be called, was a lifelong member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints (LDS, aka Mormons), holding leadership positions in the church Relief Society, and was also a temple worker at the Los Angeles, California and Jordan River, Utah LDS Temples.
Alicia was known for her extensive international travels to Europe and South America, many adventures, and work in the film industry, including the 1981 film “The Incredible Shrinking Woman” and 1996 films “The Evening Star” and “Tin Cup.”
Preceded in Death By:
Alice was preceded in death by her husband, George Llanes, her father and mother, Miguel and Esther Felan, brother Mike Felan Jr., her youngest sister, Gladys Jenks, and brother-in-law Paul Jenks.
Survivors
Alice is survived by her two sons, Andrew Cruz, Jr., and Anthony F. Cruz. Alice is also survived by her three siblings, Mrs. Dorothy Gurrola, Mrs. Mary Ann Ortega, and Mr. Albert Felan.
Alice is the proud grandmother and is survived by Andrew W. Cruz and his wife Shamora Cruz, Melissa Aldape and her husband Ricardo, Anthony M. Cruz, and Mark PT Cruz. Alice is also survived by her great-grandchildren, Ashlyn McGuire, Isabelle Cruz, Patrick J. Aldape, and Benjamin Aldape.
Spouse: George Llanes Years of Marriage: 2010 until his death in 2019.
Spouse: Andrew Cruz Years of Marriage: 1961 until 1972.
A graveside service for Alice will be held Tuesday, May 7, 2024 from 10:00 AM to 10:30 AM at Earthman Resthaven Cemetery, 13102 North Fwy, Houston, Texas 77060.
