Lois Marie Burkholder Frye passed away peacefully at White Birch Estates in Harrisonburg on May 2, 2024.
Mrs. Frye was born on October 25, 1925 and was the daughter of the late William Perry and Addie Mary Burkholder.
She was an active member of Cooks Creek Presbyterian Church and enjoyed the fellowship of family, friends and neighbors. She also enjoyed cooking, traveling, music and art.
Her husband, Ray M. Frye, preceded her in death on September 6, 1998.
Surviving is a daughter, Mary Kathryn Frye McDaniel of Richmond; a son, Thomas Perry Frye (Gail); four grandchildren, Thomas Christian (Erin), Nathan Elliot, each of Harrisonburg, Andrew Preston (Kelly) of McKinney, Texas, and Mary Hunter McDaniel Rohan (Dov) of Hood River, Oregon; seven great grandchildren. Also surviving is a host of nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, May 16 at Lindsey Funeral Home in Harrisonburg from 7:00 until 8:30 pm. A graveside service will be held at Cooks Creek Presbyterian Church Cemetery on Friday, May 17 at 3:00 pm with Gerald Harper officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the charity of your choice.
