Norman Franklin Inge

Poquoson native, Norman Franklin Inge Sr., passed away April 28, 2024 at the age of 82. He was preceded in death by his parents Ethel and Spencer Inge Sr., brother Daniel Inge, nephew Stephen "Sid" Inge and sister-in-law Eleanor Inge. He is survived by daughter Shari Sievers (Chris), son Norman "Budd" Inge Jr., grandson Douglas Sievers, brothers Spencer Inge Jr., and Conrad Inge (Lucinda), sister-in-law Lois Inge, and many nieces and nephews. Norman served a tour in Vietnam and later became a member of the Hampton VFW Post 3219. He began his career in law enforcement with the Newport News police department and retired as a Captain from the Naval Weapons Station Yorktown. In his spare time, he enjoyed volunteering with the Poquoson Fire Department and camping with the family. Cremation has been chosen and there will be a graveside service with military honors.
