Kathryn was a beloved mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, and friend. She leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness, and laughter.
Kathryn was born and raised in Ancaster, Ontario. She built a life with John Catlin and their two sons, Jay and Nathan. As a financial planner and bookkeeper, she was known for her sound financial advice.
Beyond her professional accomplishments, Kathryn was an active member of her community. She umpired at T-ball weekends, supported Apple Days, and volunteered with Boy Scouts. These experiences created countless happy memories for her and her family.
Kathryn was also a gifted cook and a gracious hostess. Her dining room table was a gathering place for family and friends, where laughter and good food were always present.
She had a special love for cats and will be fondly remembered for her companionship with her feline friends.
Kathryn is survived by her son Jay (Lauren), her grandchildren Harvey, Lincoln, and Brooklyn, her mother Lorraine, her siblings Dianne (Richard), Paul (Maribeth), Bradley (Korry)and Robert (Lisa), and numerous nieces and nephews.
She is predeceased by her son Nathan Catlin and her father Warren Ryckman.
Kathryn's family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the staff at Dr. Bob Kemp Hospice for their exceptional care in her final days.
Cremation has taken place, and a celebration of Kathryn's life will be held on Friday, May 10, 2024 at Peninsula Ridge Estate Winery (Coach House) from 1-4pm at 5600 King Street West, Beamsville. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory to Dr. Bob Kemp Hospice would be greatly appreciated.
Kathryn will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. Her spirit will continue to live on in the memories she made and the love she shared.
