Anita was born in Greensburg, Pennsylvania on April 24, 1965, to Francis and Louisa Tylka. From day one, she was poised and refined. Somehow, she spent her entire childhood and young adult life near Pittsburgh without ever uttering the phrase, “Yunz guys.” She was always enthusiastic, starting work as soon as legally possible because she wanted to purchase a new car when she turned 16. She met her childhood sweetheart and future husband, Matthew, at the age of 15 while working at Karmelkorn in Westmoreland mall. Matthew ate a LOT of popcorn and ice cream before she finally agreed to go out with him. They were together ever since.
Anita supported Matthew through his graduate school in Washington, DC and residency in Cleveland; postponing her own educational goals until they settled in Litchfield Park, Arizona/Luke AFB in 1994. Anita then graduated with multiple Honors from Arizona State University. She had an incredibly successful career which included working for Pfizer, publishing both a book and a board game, and managing a busy medical practice, where she truly made a difference in the lives of so many. She traveled the world, from the Positano to Korea (where she was stopped repeatedly for selfies as everyone thought she was Brooke Shields). She loved hiking the National Parks, animals, reading, and game-nights with dear friends.
Tenacious in spirit. Steadfast in her beliefs. Always truthful. Forever faithful. Fearless even in the face of great challenges. Anita will be missed beyond words.
She is survived by her husband, Matthew, her mother Louisa Tylka, her sister Lori Iezzi, and brother Larry Tylka. She was preceded in death by her father Francis “Frank” Tylka.
