The loss of Paco has left a huge void in so many lives – he was a devoted husband to Paulina, a wonderful father to Sebastian, a dutiful son to Alma and Jesús Senior, and an amazing brother to Alex. He was respected by all who knew him as a loyal friend and coworker.
This terribly sad moment is particularly hard to bear because Paco flourished in all areas of life, lovingly supported and motivated by his beloved wife Paulina. A hard and conscientious worker, he had recently been rewarded with a promotion in his job at HollyFrontier. Always the extrovert, he had struck up friendships in the neighborhood of his new family home, friends that he made while out walking with Stormy and Coffee, who will no doubt also be missing Paco.
The nobility and commitment in Paco’s character (and his expertise in communications!) can be seen in some of his closest relationships. Despite the distance that separated him from Paulina in the early days of their relationship, Paco did his part to overcome that challenge, and the strength of their relationship was a joy to see for everyone around them. He was a doting father to his son Sebastián, again showing how Paco made sure that different time zones were no obstacle.
Paco succeeded at everything he set his mind to: having played professional soccer in Mexico, he was renowned for his skill and fearlessness on the pitch (his sliding tackles even earned him the nickname “The Butcher”). A car enthusiast, he could fix vehicles that to anyone else might have seemed beyond repair. He was also a keen outdoorsman, and loved nothing better than enjoying camping trips and being in nature.
Paco grew up in Chiapas and loved Mexico, but he chose to make his life in the United States. And what a life he made! His many personal and professional achievements in the United States are a testament to his determination, diligence, and resourcefulness. These qualities went hand in hand with a love of life in all its forms: whether it was sports, video games, listening to country and electronic music, dancing, or just playing with his dogs.
It is with the greatest sadness that we say goodbye to Paco, who was taken from us far too young. The grief we will feel at his departure is hard to bear, but we are privileged to have known him for his many outstanding qualities and the example he set for us all. Cheers mate!!!
---------------------------------
¡¡¡Cheers mate!!!
