She found immense joy in spending time with her grandchildren, sharing her passion for music by teaching them the piano and fostering a love for literature through the stories she lovingly shared with them.
Hilde's love for her German heritage remained steadfast throughout her life, as she kept the flame alive by conversing with her friends from Germany in their native language, over glasses of wine and slices of cake, reminiscing about days gone by and creating new memories to cherish.
In her professional pursuits, Hilde showcased her talents and dedication, attending trade school in Germany to become a secretary for almost 20 years; including tenures spent with Telemecanique and Pianohaus Rück. Upon relocating to the United States, she embraced the role of homemaker with grace and dedication, creating a warm and welcoming sanctuary for her family.
