Daniel was born 11 October 1936 in Walsenburg, Colorado, the youngest of 5 children to the late Manuel and Mary (Garcia) Duran.
During his 87 years, he embarked on several occupations ranging from his time in the United States Air Force as a munitions expert to working in the steel mill and ultimately becoming a professional Iron Worker for Union Local 24. Throughout it all, he was a dedicated Knights of Columbus member for 60 years.
Daniel is survived by his 5 children; Cathy, Daniel, Roberta, William and Michael, 12 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren, 1 great-great grandchild and a host of nephews, nieces and cousins.
He is proceeded in passing by his wife of 52 years Frances, eldest daughter Charlotte, great granddaughter Alyssa, and his sisters Martha Radcliff, Eugena Gallegos, Elsie Montoya, and Olivia Medina.
