On April 28, 2024, Peggy Ann Capps, after living 92 wonderful years, passed away in her sleep surrounded by her family.
Peggy, or like most people knew her as Mimi or Mom, was born on a peaceful day on January 31, 1932, in Elkview, West Virginia, to Lunda Jack Young and Hestel Carper. Peggy loved her mom and dad more than anything and admired her mother to the fullest. Peggy was the oldest of eight siblings, and she is survived by her sister Rita Ingram and brother Frank Young.
Peggy met a wonderful man named Joe B Capps, and together, they created a life most people dream of. They created a life of strength, courage, determination, faith, and love. Peggy, who is survived by her daughter Bonnie Ausilio , son Bobby Capps, son Billy Capps, daughter Teresa Capps, daughter Candace Capps, and her late daughter Marcia Hanson.
Peggy not only was a loving mother, grandmother of eleven, great-grandmother of ten and great- great grandmother of two, but she was also known by many as an amazing cook, baker, and business woman. Peggy was known for her delicious pies, her successful business adventures at Lone Star Restaurant, Old South Pancake house, and of course her eBay business, and so many more.
Peggy Capps was a true inspiration, and she will be deeply missed. We can send her off with peace and love knowing that she walks into the gates of her forever home to be with her Father in heaven and the arms of her belated Husband Joe and daughter Marcia once again.
