Mollie was born December 18, 1932 in Smithville, AR to John Edward and Lois (Campbell) Robins. They preceded her in death.
She was also preceded in death by her loving husband of 65 years, Hoover C. Guthrie on January 6, 2016; son, Danny Guthrie; and three brothers, John Edward “Junior” Robins, Charles Bernard Robins and Joe Keith Robins.
Mollie is survived by her loving children, Christopher (JoEllyn) Guthrie of Springhill, Fl., Robin (David) Suydam of Lebanon, Il., Jonathon Guthrie of Lebanon, Il., and Cindy (Mike) Wait of Lebanon, Il; daughter-in-law, Cindy Guthrie of Trenton, IL; 17 grandchildren, Shane (Chelsea) Guthrie, Jeremy Guthrie, Nicholas (Erin) Guthrie, Michael (Samantha) Guthrie, Danielle (Billy) Kruepp, Kristy Woosley, Kyle Guthrie, Mikey Guthrie, Joey Guthrie, Amber (Jake) Maggard, Ron (Angela) Christ, Autumn Schomaker, Dustin Hubert, Johnna (Cody) Sarginson, Alexis Guthrie, Tyler (Ariel) Wait, Victoria (Jon) Levin; 26 great-grandchildren with two on the way; and 1 great-great grandchild with another on the way; sister-in-laws, Barb (Lee) Thrasher of Missouri and Therese Robins of Texas.
Mollie spent her life as homemaker, devoted to her loving family and raising her children. She was a talented seamstress and an avid reader.
Alongside her husband, Hoover, they owned and operated Guthrie AMC Jeep & Renault in Collinsville, IL. Before her retirement, she worked as the office manager for the family business, Hoover Autobody and Upholstery in East St. Louis, IL.
Mollie was a founding member of the Southern Baptist Church in Shiloh, IL and for the last 30 years, was a member of the First Baptist Church in O’Fallon, IL. She taught Sunday school and Vacation Bible School, sharing the love of God with special needs children within the church. Her devotion and care to so many will be remembered for years to come. She will truly be missed.

A visitation for Mollie will be held on Monday, May 6, 2024 from 10:00 A.M.- 12:00 P.M. in the chapel at First Baptist Church, 1111 E Hwy 50, O'Fallon, IL 62269, using the Seven Hills entrance.
A funeral service will be held following the visitation, at 12:00 P.M. Final interment will follow at Lake View Memorial Gardens, Fairview Heights, IL.
