Dick lived a long and full life. He grew up in Kenosha, WI and attended elementary through high school there. He worked as a journeyman Machinist for American Motors/Chrysler Corp and retired after 25 years. He was an avid car buff and very active in the Kenosha car scene in the 1950’s and 1960’s. His lifelong passion with motorcycles and riding took him all across the country, where he attended rallies/shows and won many awards for his bikes. His love of the water and boating took him and the family (and an occasional dog) all over the Great Lakes for many adventures. This love of boating even had him elected as the Commodore of the Kenosha Yacht Club.
He was a talented photographer and budding artist. Along the way he was also a downhill skier, scuba diver, landscaper/gardener and master (self-proclaimed) handyman. He was an Army Reserve Veteran and was a member of local VFW, and Eagles Clubs. Dick rarely met anyone he didn’t like or couldn’t talk to. He could make friends with just about anyone.
